Spotlight: Gillie Agmon

I completed my internship at Johnson & Johnson (Janssen Business Development) working with the M&A team on completing company profiles and landscape analyses.

I chose this internship because I wanted to learn about business operations in the biotechnology industry and understand how new technologies are viewed from a business perspective.

What I enjoyed most about it was the people I met through the internship who taught me about the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

What I gained from this experience was an introduction to the language of the business world and an understanding of how to assess products as company assets.

The BTG program helped me by connecting me with multiple possible internship advisers as I was deciding where to do my internship.

My long-term plans are to develop vaccines and other immunomodulatory technologies in a biotechnology startup environment.
