NIH Award Funding
Students who are US citizens or Permanent Residents may apply for a NIH Training Grant in Biotechnology award, which will cover (9) units of graduate-level tuition and a partial stipend.
The funding is for 2 years (8 quarters) and runs consecutively (including summer quarter). Student progress and participation (including completion of internship) will be reviewed by the Steering Committee before a second year of funding is awarded.
Funded trainees will receive a stipend of $2,000 per year for their first two years in the program. Non-funded trainees will receive a one-time stipend of $1,500 to be used within the first two years of participation in the training program.
